An Affiliate validator is a PrimeLab wallet that stakes coins into wallets owed by the companies it’s investing in. Offline an affiliate may make a deal with the company X% of their company for Y investment. Their investment is then made to the startup in Web3 coins and the startup uses those coins to pay for resources needed to launch their dapp on PrimeLab infrastructure. The PrimeLab network tracks the usage of the newly launched dapp and rewards the affiliate by mining coins the wallet they’ve registered as an affiliate validator.
Affiliate validators are incentivized to distribute funds to projects that drive real usage on the PrimeLab platform. If they invest in an ad order book with high usage the affiliate gets paid out more, which might incentivize the affiliate to find more ad order book companies to invest in.
PrimeLab will use a bidding system to determine the order in which initial affiliate validators can participate. For example each affiliate who pays $1000 to reserve a spot in the auction to become one of the first 100 validators will receive their order based on where their bid falls in relation to the other participants in the auction. Depending on ecosystem rollout the 100th affiliate validator may be brought into the system 1 week or 3 months after the initial affiliate validator making earlier positions highly desirable.
